My Journey to becoming a full time Trader and Online Entrepreneur
There’s a quote that says, “The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.” I chose to take the road to success.
Hi, my name is Vikram Prabhu. For nearly two decades, I worked as a salesman, selling everything from antibiotics to protein supplements to life-saving drugs to medical consumables to medical equipment. It wasn’t always an easy path, but I never gave up.
I kept hustling, constantly holding on to the dream of one day becoming a successful entrepreneur.
At 42, I made a life-changing decision to step away from my corporate career and follow my true passion: Stock Market Trading and Online Entrepreneurship.
My initial journey into stock market as a novice
My journey with the stock market began in 2003.
I was young, ambitious, and determined but novice in stock market, I quit my well-paying job, jumped into day trading without any knowledge, and quickly lost all my savings. It was a tough blow, but through that failure, I discovered something important—I was truly passionate about stock market trading but I was lacking trading knowledge.
After that setback, I returned to my sales career, working for various MNCs over the years. But no matter what I did, my heart always belonged to the stock market.
In the past years, I’ve developed numerous strategies based on indicators, but they never gave me the confidence I needed. Then, I stumbled upon the pivot point and price action strategy. When I tested them on historical data, I was blown away by how accurate they were. It was a turning point that gave me the confidence to finally trust in my abilities as a trader.
After that, I solely focused only on the pivot point and price action trading and developed my own strategy for various method of trading.
My entrepreneurial
journey
I quit my job in the year 2018, to start my journey as a full-time trader and start online entrepreneurship journey.
In 2019, I launched my website, PivotCall.com, with the goal of helping traders learn stock market trading through online courses.
That same year, I also started my YouTube channel, Pivot Call, to raise awareness about stock market trading by sharing valuable insights through my videos. Today, my YouTube channel has grown to nearly 5 lakh subscribers. Over the past five years, I’ve successfully launched nearly 10 courses, helping over 20,000 students gain valuable skills and insights through my online training. My 20 years of experience in the stock market, since 2003, have given me the opportunity to witness various market conditions. This has enabled me to create a more comprehensive and insightful curriculum for my online trading courses, designed to better prepare traders for any market scenario.
My Goal
The purpose behind creating these online training platform and educational videos is to help traders by minimizing the learning curve.
My aim is to equip them with the skills to confidently read charts and understand price action trading, ultimately empowering them to become more skilled traders.
